HEALING: NOT SWEATING THE SMALL STUFF
WHY AREN'T I HEALING?
SWEATING SMALL STUFF
Life is too short to stress yourself with things that don’t even deserve to be an issue in your life.
As we shift into a new month, new season, new moon and new vibes we must release stagnant energy. Things that aren't serving us, blockages and the act of stressing over "things", "people", "environments" that can pull you into a vortex that isn't serving you, healing or knocking you back into your authentic self.
All I know is that we have power over our choices. We can't control everything that happens to us, but we can control how we react to it, embody it, handle it, carry out our next action & world, as we truly are the only person in control of our bodies + minds.
Therefore I truly we can turn any situation positive, or maybe a better word for it is light filled. Call me grossly optimistic, but I believe it to be true. We aren't a victim in our bodies, or minds. When we start to shift and understand this power, so many miraculous things start to show up.
When I see or feel negativity I choose to not be engrossed in it, I don't engage in gossip / judgement / or deep rooted feelings of guilt or shame. Sometimes I can feel certain emotions arise (some not so nice ones, as I'm still a human on this planet - it's uber natural), and as hard as it is I allow them to peep their head, and then I make the choice to not allow them to overcome my body, and mind. As I firmly believe we're cellular beings who feel energy, and therefore our cells intake this energy, and hence it leading to imbalances, disease, illness and a physical manifestation of symptoms that might of only been energetic + mental / emotional.
After my journey these past twelve years with Lyme Disease, and healing from it. I've learned to see every single pain, and moment as a gift. I know that might sound all unicorn-ey or utopia-ish, but it's the truth. Every pain, blemish, scary symptom, hair strand falling out, pound put on was my body telling me something wasn't right, and that this was meant to be my journey. It wasn't easy in the slightest.... some would say I "lost a lot of years" but I couldn't and don't look at it like that. If anything I see it as gaining my future, purpose, and clarity with how my gifts are meant to be shared in this world.
In any moment we have two choices: love or fear. Call me crazy, but I'm going to choose love every time. Even though fear will try it's hardest to creep in.
This isn't a race, and mindsets + belief systems don't change over night. Heck mine took years, but when we realize we have the power, deep healing can start to take place.
Do your best, take small steps forward, keep things in perspective, and IGNORE the following...
BLATANT NEGATIVITY- Keep calm and think positively. Evolve your being and inspire yourself and others. It's easier to be negative than positive so you sometimes have to train your mind to see and feel the positive. Be thankful for the little struggles you go through today. They make you stronger and wiser. Don’t let them break you, they will make you who are you.
THE PEOPLE WHO TRY TO DUMP EVERYTHING ON YOU - When you follow your heart and intuition, someone will try to discredit you for it. When you finally find something that makes you happy, not everyone will be happy for you. When you show unwavering kindness to others, some people will question your motives. Don't let anyone of these people stop you from fulfilling your dreams and doing any of these things.
OTHER PEOPLE'S OPINION ON WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU - Don’t ever change just to impress someone. Change because it makes you a better person and leads you to a better future. Being your true self is the most effective path for happiness and success there is.
Honestly I think one of the greatest freedoms is simply not caring what everyone else thinks of you! Take risks and follow your intuition. If I wouldn't have followed my true gut instinct with my health, I would NOT be where I am today.
THE IDEA OF PERFECTION- No one is perfect. Truly. End of story. Don't pretend to be someone you're not. You are great at being YOU. You might not be proud of all the things you’ve done in the past (again we are only human and we ALL have these things!) The past is not today. Be 100% proud of who you are, how you’ve grown, and what you’ve learned along the way. Now that is what's important. Those lessons. Growth through hardships is the biggest blessing you can get.
UNGRATEFUL, MATERIALISTIC THINKING - SIMPLE - When life is good, enjoy it. Don’t always go looking for something better. Happiness never comes to those who don’t appreciate what they have right now. This doesn't mean you can't desire more, it simply means you are thankful for what you have now and be patient + work hard for everything you want, and is yet to come.
AN INNER RESISTANCE TO CHANGE- We all have a story. We’ve all gone through something that has changed us in a way that we could never go back to who we once were. This kind of change is inevitable. Everything around you is impermanent - so don't try to resist it. It's easy to get into routines of all sorts, ( of course the healthy ones I condone!) but when we resist internal changes because of fear than we are simply telling ourselves and the world that we aren't worthy.
BOTTOM LINE- Don’t sweat the small stuff. Live simply. Love generously. Speak truthfully. Work diligently. Then let go and let what’s meant to be, be.
Don't carry this stuff into the next season, day, week or month.
You are worth so much more than that. You deserve to live a positive life full of health, happiness and passion.
