YOU'RE NOT STARTING
Let's just take a minute to see why you aren't starting + a laundry list of starts you can take in this moment.
Remember it's not about doing everything at once, taking a million supplements (I've been there, it won't work), trying new diets, taking leaps outside your comfort zone (instead of small steps, which I will forever promote), being hyper strict, and uber restrictive, with all of that, no wonder why so many of us are paralyzed with anxiety, fear, overwhelm, and confusion.
Often times we don't for a plethora of reasons. A few common being: I'm scared, I feel paralyzed, fearful, uncertain, don't want to, lazy, anxious, lack mentality (if I do that, buy that, work with that person, it's money gone...), don't know where to start, overwhelmed with choices, putting others before yourself, overthinking, not trusting, not believing your worthy, and the list can go on.
There are so many reasons we don't start, and when we boil it down, we either don't believe we're worthy of taking the next step, or we don't trust ourselves in choosing the right direction, step or person. Ever heard of "paralyzed by fear" or "decision fatigue", both are hyper real.
It is so easy to get caught up in life and in doing things for others, but at the end of the day if we aren't nurturing ourselves, then none of that will matter.
It might sound a little harsh at first, but ultimately if you're continually holding yourself back, or not taking the next step forward you're hurting yourself, and the greater Universe as you aren't sharing your gifts with us.
When health starts to fail, when stress levels rise, when your schedule is SO packed you don't even see your speak to your family for weeks...is it really worth it?
First course of action - Take time to pause. reassess. breathe. spread joy and JUST BE.
NEXT, SIMPLY STEPS TO JUST START...
Take Inventory of what you can do, the first few small steps you can take (remember) you don't have to take a giant leap...
Start spending time with the right people.
Start facing your problems head on.
Start being honest with yourself about everything. (TRUTH guys, tell the truth)
Start making your own happiness a priority.
Start being yourself, genuinely and proudly.
Start noticing and living in the present.
Start valuing the lessons your mistakes teach you.
Start being more polite to yourself.
Start enjoying the things you already have.
Start creating your own happiness.
Start giving your ideas and dreams a chance.
Start believing that you’re ready for the next step.
Start giving new people you meet a chance.
Start competing against an earlier version of yourself.
Start cheering for other people’s victories.
Start looking for the silver lining in tough situations.
Start forgiving yourself and others.
Start helping those around you.
Start listening to your own inner voice.
Start being attentive to your stress level and take short breaks.
Start accepting things when they are less than perfect.
Start working toward your goals every single day.
Start being more open about how you feel.
Start taking full accountability for your own life.
Start actively nurturing your most important relationships.
Start concentrating on the things you can control.
Start focusing on the possibility of positive outcomes.
Start noticing how wealthy you are right now. “Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.”
Trying to be anyone else is a waste of the person you are. Be yourself. Embrace that individual inside you that has ideas, strengths and beauty like no one else. Be the person you know yourself to be – the best version of you – on your terms. Above all, be true to You, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it.
