The term 'you are what you eat' is becoming more relevant now more than ever before - especially in reference to our beauty routines. Back in the day it was all about magical pills, potions, creams, make up, anything external really to enhance, brighten and heal, but this isn't the case anymore.

Today things are changing, and this is a topic I'm extremely passionate about, and one that envelops my practice and business. Whenever we speak about health, wellness, and beauty we can't disassociate the connection between our cells, what we feed ourselves, and what we see on the outside. Glowing skin = digestion, eliminatory organs, liver, Shiny Hair = diet, protein consumption, lifestyle it goes for every other body part.

I feel so on fire about this topic as I see so many women (and men!) spend endless amounts of money on creams, procedures and products to help them glow, feel beautiful, gain confidence, when to simplify it all, it all starts from within. This doesn't just relate to beauty, because beauty is way, way, way more than our bodies, in essence it starts with our hearts, how we choose to show up in this world, giving back, the happiness and love we share, and the simplicity of smiles and laughter - that is true beauty. But in our society and world there will always be an emphasis on the external. This is part of our world, and I believe always will be. It's rooted in traditions, history and culture and the secret to it all is getting back to basics, getting back to nature, and looking within yourself and finding the truth, light and love from within before you reach for the external products.

Don't get me wrong I'm a lover of natural products, products that help heal you from the inside out and pampering my skin with honey masks, deep exfoliation, steam baths and DIY spa evenings, but I also work intensely on my inner being through meditation, exercise, reading, taking time off to rest, learning new things, and constantly being open to the constant flow of life. It's this combination that I believe to be the Future of Beauty.

This topic is very layered and is something that I go deeper into when I work with clients one on one as my recommendations, plans and protocols differ for every single client! Each client is like a blossoming flower, and nothing makes me happier when I see this all in action.

In any case, today I wanted to share some products I've recently come across that I believe will be the Future of Beauty in terms of products and things we should all start to think about taking. These are absolute gems and can't wait to try some out myself /

GLOW INNER BEAUTY POWDER- I've been wanting to try this for a few years now. With 23 skin loving superfoods, and a fermentation process that took over 20 years to develop, I know we would begin a love affair after my first sip.

HYDRATION INNER BEAUTY BOOST - Another gem by Carla Oates the developer of 'The Beauty Chef' - HYDRATION combines organic coconut water, aloe vera and lemon myrtle to combat dry, dull skin, ageing and fine lines and free-radical damage. Meanwhile, the formula also works to improve gut health, circulation and oxygenation of the blood, to boost overall skin health. I'll take 5 please!

BEAUTY DUST - Another product I've had my eyes on for years but have never taken the plunge! This is partly due to it not being available in Canada, and the pretty little price tag for a pretty little jar. Goji, Rehmannia, Pearl, Schisandra, Stevia are the stars of this magical dust. This ancient empiric formula expands beauty through alchemizing elements legendary for their youth preserving, fortifying and tonifying qualities. Glowing supple skin, lustrous shiny hair and twinkling bright eyes, are holistically bestowed from the inside out.

SAKARA LIFE'S PROBIOTIC CHOCOLATES - Not much needs to be said about these pyramids of gold. A intense probiotic, mixed with raw cocoa and yacon roots, which helps stabilize blood sugar, is a bomb of happiness (remember 80% of your happy hormone, Serotonin, lives in your gut!).

PURSOMA DIGITAL BATH DETOX - Living anywhere besides a tropical oasis brings with it daily toxins, environmental stresses and constantly being 'plugged in' for both business and pleasure. These salts are no joke. Sea salt helps to stimulate circulation and blood flow, relieving stiff joints, muscle cramps and opening the body’s cells to deep cleansing. Montmorillonite clay assists in attracting unhealthy, positively charged radiation that accumulates in the body through use of cell phones, laptops and electronic devices. Prepare for a deep body re-boot!

SUN POTION ASHWAGANDA - This is often referred to as 'Indian Ginseng' and is a ayurvedic healing herd. It contains a full spectrum of healing properties and is most notable for:

Tonify the immune system Inspire Vigor and Strength Increase the body's levels of Super Oxide Dismutase Harmonize Mind, Body, and Spirit Reduce the effects of mental, emotional, and physical stress

Has anyone tried any of these? Would love to hear your experiences with these or any other similar products.

Happy Wednesday!
