GLOW: EAT YOUR SKINCARE + COSMETICS.
When you are balanced and when you listen and attend to the needs of your body, mind, and spirit, your natural beauty comes out.
I'm all about simplicity, ease and staying as natural as possible, but I don't claim to be 100% natural when it comes to my skincare and beauty routine, I strive to be, but I'm not. At the end of the day, no one is perfect, and it's about finding what balance works for you.
For me it's always choosing organic, and natural first, but I do use SPF daily, retinol a few times a week (trying to find an effective natural one), and I love P50! I know, I know, not the most natural, but it works for my skin, and lifestyle, and I don't beat myself up for it. Most, if not all, of my life is natural, organic, whole and I take steps to care of myself, and the planet the best way I can, so I don't stress about the 5% of my life that's not completely natural! It's all about doing your best, and finding what works for you. ♥
Do your best, make small steps to clearing out your medicine cabinets, and little by little you will notice a physical, emotional, spiritual shift in how you think and feel. I always stress that mindfulness is the most important aspect of switching to a more natural and whole lifestyle. If you're unhappy about a certain way you're eating, or products that your using on your skin, or in your home, educate yourself on the why's to shift, and then make healthier and safer choices.
Consciousness is king.
At the end of the day our skin is the largest organ, so what we put in it, is what we on it. It's super important to stay mindful of our external, knowing that it always affects our internal.
Enough chatter, let the fun begin!
RMS BEAUTY - My favorite make up in the whole world
RMS Beauty products are formulated with raw, food grade and organic ingredients in their natural state, allowing their living, healing attributes to penetrate and rejuvenate the skin. In their purest form, enzymes, vitamins, antioxidants and their healing properties remain fully intact, encouraging amazing potential for anti-aging effects and healing. It's carefully chosen to create a dialogue with the skin. Your touch activates the life force of the product, and nutrients interact with skin to promote hydration, softness, and luminosity. My favorite products include uncover up, living luminizer, lip 2 cheek and her lip shines. I cannot recommend this brand enough. It is formulated with raw, organic coconut oil, but not to worry. My skin is insanely oily, and I swear this actually makes my skin better.
MY GLOW INDUCING MANUKA HONEY MASK - My secret to glowing skin.
This mask...I have a whole post dedicated to it, and can't sing its praises enough. Use it 1-2 times a week, and you will notice a shift in your skin.
DIY LIP SCRUB - A natural way to super soft lips
We all want soft + lush lips, and I'm sure you've seen lip scrubs in sephora and the like. But when we put stuff on our lips, it can go directly into our mouths, so having completely natural products near our lips is vital. To make this little guy I'm sure you will already have all the ingredients in your house, no need to pay $$$ for a lip scrub!
DIY Lip Scrub Recipe
Ingredients needed (please note that these are just to give you a general idea – you can adjust to whatever consistency you like) :
1.5 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tbsp coconut oil (you can also use olive oil, it will achieve the same effect)
1 ½ tsp honey
HURRAW LIP BALM - My true love, I always have two on me.
All natural, certified vegan, made from premium raw, organic and fair trade ingredients. It's like slathering your lips with nature. Pure goodness. I can't recommend it enough!
DIY COFFEE SCRUB - I don't use a body scrub too often, as I dry body brush. But doing this once a week is golden. Especially in the summer.
Equal parts ground coffee and raw coconut sugar 1 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp coconut oil 1 tbsp sea salt
Mix the ground coffee with raw sugar + sea salt. Add the olive oil and coconut oil. And voila, coffee body scrub. Use it morning or night.
COCONUT OIL - All hail the coconut.
My one true love. I use this for a MULTITUDE of things, but slathering it on my body morning and night is its main purpose. I can't get enough, and neither can my body.
What are your favorite eat your skincare products?
