HEALING: WHAT IS YOUR BODY TRULY TELLING YOU? IT'S TALKING, BUT CAN YOU HEAR?

What are your symptoms trying to tell you?

When we have symptoms they our the bodies way of speaking to us. Wouldn't it be great if our bodies actually spoke to us? Alas it cannot.

So what does it do?

It gives us pimples, stomach distress, acid reflux, dry skin, bumps, pains, headaches, body aches, anxiety, bruises and so on. These are all internal signs that our body is not happy with something, or it is lacking a very specific and vital nutrient.

All would be ok if we ate 100% organic, from our own farms, lived free of technology, in a tropical oasis, but that is not the case for most, if any of us. Times have changed, and so have our environments, lifestyles, and food processes. Our food is not what it used to be, with Monsanto + GMO seeds taking over the world (another story, for another day! This stuff is heavy, and I don't like to get political at all on here). But it's good to be informed, and educated as to what you're consuming.

I try my best every single day to get all of my minerals and vitamins from my food, and succeed most often than not, but there are definitely certain periods where I am lacking these specific nutrients from my body. This is more prominent when my immune system is compromised, my hormones fluctuate due to my monthly cycle, or I am a tad more stressed.

Our soils have become so depleted that it's hard to be sure, even when organic, that we're absorbing all that we need to! Further most of the population experiences stomach distress (bloating, discomfort, large portions, allergies, etc), which means even if you're eating super duper pure you are not absorbing even half of the nutrients that are coming from your beautiful food! I've experienced it first hand. I was eating extremely healthy and organic as I was healing from Lyme Disease, but because my body and digestion was compromised, the absorption and assimilation of any and all nutrients was not taking place. Therefore I had a heavy supplementation regime, which was wild. There was a point in 2012/2013 that I was taking over 30 supplements at a time! Who knows what was working, what was getting absorbed, and what was extremely pricey urine. O_O I'm almost certain you've all been there, I know I sure have.

Here is what I normally see in my practice with clients + supplementation:

1. They have been taking the same supplements for years, and haven't shifted them even though the body evolves / grows every day.

2.They are taking a handful of supplements and have no idea when to take them, and if they need complimentary foods + supplements to absorb

3.They've read articles, seen influencers, celebrities post about supplements and take them just because! Even if they don't need them

4. They aren't taking any, but need them, because they're having trouble absorbing nutrients from their diets due to the food itself, but also the mental / emotional strain they are under. Stress will burn away your stores of minerals + vitamins.

If you are experiencing symptoms, it's best to supplement with food first, and with supplements under guidance of a holistic health practitioner.

This is my ethos through and though. I will always look to food, before I look into anything else, especially when I'm under the weather, but most importantly every single day!

Today I wanted to share some of your vital nutrients + vitamins that your body needs to not only survive, but thrive.
