I can't believe it is Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend already! It is crazy really. This year actually blew by, do you agree?

I know many people resist the change of seasons as it means cooler temperatures, snow, wind, and shorter days, but I really love it. Cuddling, tea, cool air, soup and waking up when it's still dark and the city still sleeps are a few of my favorite things, and things I am thankful for.

It is a time for reflection, working hard and setting big goals for the year ahead.

As I reflect even deeper this holiday weekend, words cannot express my gratitude for everything big and small around me. I know it sounds corny, but I am truly thankful for every single minute of my life, every person in my life and every experience and opportunity. My illness didn't change who I was as a person, my core and my heart have remained the same. I just see things differently now and appreciate the smallest of things - fresh air, the ability to walk, workout, smile, laugh and share my life with someone. These are things that got lost during my darker days....

In any case I want to spend some time sharing my 2015 thankful list with you! It is always good to reflect on this and write it out. Sometimes when we get overwhelmed and anxious we forget who we are, and where are journey is leading us. Those tough times are meant to make us stronger, to stretch us in ways we didn't think was possible, and turning our inner caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly!

Things I am thankful for + love:

-my health - without it, it is hard to experience and appreciate anything really.

-my love (who is my family + best friend), my heart swells up with love, joy + gratitude every time I think of him – which is every moment, as he’s in my heart wherever I go
