NUTRITION: EAT THIS, NOT THAT
Eat this, not that!
I'm sure you have all seen that book on bookstore shelves. When it comes to eating healthier it is getting increasingly overwhelming. Don't eat carbs, don't eat after 7pm, make sure to have X amount of protein and fat, drink this, don't drink that, have green vegetables with every meal, etc & etc... I fully understand and emphasize with you, it even evokes pressure and confusion in my head. I'm constantly keeping abreast of new nutrition and health news, and some of it is highly contradictory, confusing and some is out right absurd.
I constantly guide my clients to take small steps. Don't all of a sudden cut everything out, add in a million things and start drinking green juices every single day. The body will rebel, and you will feel a whole host of detox symptoms and reactions, and you will become too rigid with yourself. This is only sustainable for so long.

What I suggest you start doing, if you haven't already is make small swaps. Maybe you've already made some of the below swaps, of maybe you're eating the former. No matter where you are on this journey, know that you are exactly where you need to be. The only way to make a change is to start doing something differently. See what small swaps you can make below. Start with a few and as time goes by try to incorporate more and more into your lifestyle! SOON you will be eating everything on the right!
*Obviously there times when you will be out at the restaurant you might not be able to control the oils, vinegars and pastas.... savor those moments shared with loved ones. And move on. Next day you can go back to eating clean, fresh and whole.
White Rice -----> Quinoa / Millet
Milk -----> Almond / coconut / hemp mylk
Canola Oil -----> Coconut or Olive oil
Pasta-----> Spelt Pasta or Zucchini Noodles
Balsamic Vinegar ------> Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon & Olive Oil
Coffee ------> Green Tea / Matcha / Herbal Tea
Milk Chocolate -----> Raw Cocao and Raw chocolate
Table Salt ------> Himalayan Pink salt / Celtic grey
Margarine ------> Coconut Butter or Avocado
Soy Sauce ------> Braggs Liquid Aminos or Coconut Aminos
Sugar ------> Coconut Sugar or Stevia
Peanuts -----> Raw Almonds, Brazil nuts, Hazelnuts, Pumpkin Seeds
Bottled/Tap Water ------> Alkaline Water or Water with lemon
Fruit Juice ------> Green Juice with no fruit added
Granola ------> Gluten Free Oats / Quinoa
