SHEER INSANITY.

Sheerness. Definitely a Spring trend this year ( Ed note: I dislike using the word trend as I firmly believe in wearing what you LOVE, but as seasons come and go, we are hit with designers amazing inspirations and there are 'trends' that appear across many collections. So I enjoy highlighting these, but truly believe they will not be 'uncool' come next season or year). So do not worry about things going out of season! Yes, there are many hidden creatures living inside of people's closets. But if you buy classic colors and shapes, and cuts that suit YOU, until they are seen better days, you are still A-OK.

With summer fast approaching, we truly don't have a choice but to peel off the layers and expose our wintery, pale as the new moons glow skin, but fear not as there are plenty of ways to make see-through not look scandalous. It can be very classy, cool and understated.

Here are 3 of my favorite looks from S/S13 highlighting the beauty of sheerness: L TO R --- Jonathan Saunders, Gimabattista Valli, Dries Van Noten

Below I have chosen 3 items from Zara which have taken inspiration from the runways and made it more accessible to the masses. A few of my favorites:

sheer

The key is to keep it simple AND balanced, and don't do sheer all over! Pick a cut out in a dress or a sheer shirt (with a cami or balconette bra) and denim cut-offs or a leather skirt, and feel the liberation of showing 'some skin' while still being comfortable and expressing your beautiful individual uniqueness.

I have a few white blouses in mind that I can't wait to pair with my cut-offs!

What about you guys, craving anything sheer this S/S?

Have an amazing day.
