Let us never know what old age is. Let us know the happiness time brings, not count the years. Ausonius

My Birthday was yesterday and it's always such a reflective time for me. It's not just another day on the calendar. Your birth date is an important day in time and history - you were brought into this world to write your story, to share it with others, to love, and to make your mark. We are ALL different and we are all here to write different stories.

I love birthdays because it is a time to check in on your story, just like New Years and New Seasons - they are all a reflective periods if you allow them to be. When things start to shift externally, summer to fall, old year to new year, it's important to go within and see what'S going on in your internal environment.

I woke up yesterday morning with the sun shining into our apartment, blue skies and unseasonably warm weather. I was bursting with love already. I made green tea, had lemon water, lit a candle, meditated, and walked to NEO a local cafe for coffee and homemade vegan sugar-free breakfast cookie which they make in house! This place is divine. I sat with my journal and with myself (I was alone as my Boyfriend had a important soccer playoff game early afternoon, but we enjoyed the most blissful evening), so I used this time to reflect on my year. I wrote out what I was grateful for, and what I look forward to this next year. I don't want another year to float by, and I don't want to set hard fast and militant goals and by whens, but I want to accomplish a few things that I've been sitting on for awhile due to fear! Last year was my best yet, and I grew a whole, whole lot. I healed further, and know I'm continually healing. My journey and story continues...

So what are a few things that I want to accomplish for the year ahead? I thought I would share some with you:

- Launch my new website by the end of the year

- Travel someplace new

- Release my E-Book in 2016!

- Double my clients by Spring of 2016

- Put myself out there more with my story and business - network, connect, write articles, do interviews

- Drink more matcha tea

- Continue to Heal

- Eat more protein

- Help others even more

- Always, always be a source of light and love

- Ask for help more!

- Find a mentor

- Do at least 1 photo shoot a month

- Get into nature more

- Bring joy to absolutely everyone I meet - there is no judgement in life. We are all the same.

These are just a few of the things that I wrote down! I'm not going to be militant about them, but will simply bring more mindfulness to my everyday. I'm constantly learning, growing, and changing. I love setting goals, being challenged and coming into myself even more each year. Life is a gift, and to celebrate a life of health, happiness and love will forever be the biggest gift I can give myself and others.
