EATING SEASONABLY.

Eating with the seasons is a sure fire way to make sure you are feeding your body properly and following the natural rhythm of our planet earth. How many times of you seen lack luster tomatoes in the dead of winter all the way from Mexico? Now that is just creepy. Also the taste is nothing to be desired. Therefore I think it is crucial to know what is in season, and to build your meals + grocery shops around this. Of course there will be items that you will have to purchase that are not in season, but when this is the case, buy organic! Not some franken-fruit from the other side of the world. Think of when it is picked, transport time, the chemicals used to grow and preserve it...yikes! Not something you want in your beautiful body.

It's definitely not about being perfect, but becoming educated as to where your food comes from!

Your best bet is Farmer's Markets, and boy oh boy do I wish I had more access to these. I am counting down the days to spring/summer when we start to get produce from the FM and from our family farm (think cucumbers, tomatoe's, green beans, strawberries, kale, & lettuce galore). It makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Now I am getting excited about moving back to the city at the end of the summer where I can start riding my bike to the Farmer's Market and really start living the life that resonates with my true genuine heart and soul.
