NURTURE YOUR HAPPINESS.
HEY loves! I'm BACK. It's been a journey and I've simply needed this time to say goodbye to family, friends, my hometown and a year of MAJOR healing + growth and to move forward to my new home + city: Toronto.
In any case, I want to speak about happiness, because when we peel away all the layers life truly is all about LOVE + HAPPINESS. Where and who would we be without the two?
So I'm reminding myself during this transition of these simple + small points, because happiness is found by enjoying the small things in life all while chasing after the big ones. Take life one step at a time, breathe, and enjoy the journey.....
Act like today is already an awesome day.
Make yourself smile first thing in the morning.
Spend time with people who make you smile.
Try something totally new.
Work on something that’s meaningful to you.
Keep track of the things you’re grateful for.
Listen to your inner voice.
Truly appreciate those around you.
Give out compliments.
Call an old friend and reminisce.
Be vibrant and colorful.
Disconnect from the world for a little while.
Take a deep breathing break every hour.
Move your body.
Take a walk without a destination.
At least once a week, do something that’s only for you.
Listen to good music.
Do, watch, or listen to something that makes you laugh.
Buy or pick fresh flowers every now and then.
Get more sunshine.
Take a hot bath.
Get enough sleep.
Declutter your space.
Purge bad habits and negative influences.
Allow yourself some private time each day.
Get things off your chest.
Tell someone you love them.
Make a new friend.
Spend quality time with children.
Cut yourself some slack.
Take pride in the hard times that you have overcome.
Keep your words positive.
Make your home a haven.
Get your finances in order.
Volunteer or make a donation.
Say “yes” to a spontaneous opportunity.
Forgive someone and reconnect with them.
Read something that inspires and motivates you.
Smile and notice what’s right, right now. – Everything that happens in life is neither good or bad. It just depends on your perspective. And no matter how it turns out, it always ends up just the way it should. Either you succeed or you learn something. So stay positive, appreciate the pleasant outcomes, and learn from the rest.
