EP 19  X FOOD AS A FOUNDATION 

I could do a million episodes on food, but at the same time I feel like I would be saying the same thing as my food foundations are super rooted in simplicity, wholeness, utilizing - nourishing - and honouring Mama Earth, and tapping into what our bodies want. 

The wellness, nutrition, and health industries are W I L D, and we're all being fed different information, which pulls us further and further away to what our bodies actually need, not what it desires, or not what works for someone else. I have some clients come to me and are just so confused on what they should even eat nowadays, as the "fear mongering" can be witnessed on all sides, with all diets + all styles of eating. I've seen people be afraid to eat a few grapes! Or enjoy a slice of watermelon on a hot summer day. 

While I absolutely believe that everything is situational, and in certain cases a little more leaning to one side (i.e less / no sugar) might have to take place for some time to reset / work a little deeper ( I work with clients in a bio-individual manner), it's time to drop the diet & dogma. 

I believe it's time to tune in, lay the Foundation for our cellular health, and let go of what others are telling us, and explore exactly what our body needs and when. It takes a little more work, but in the long run it's the most empowering + enlightening thing we can do. Our bodies are just waiting for us to honour and love them completely and whole heartedly.

There isn't a right or wrong, or embarking on a certain style for life, as if set in concrete. We are fluid, expansive and ever evolving humans with souls that extend far beyond what we can even fathom. When we embrace our vastness, we're able to tune in and really start to listen to our Selves, and ultimately what we should be nourishing our bodies with. 

I've tried almost every style of eating out there. When I was at my sickest I was trying to find the most healing diet in the WORLD, and got pulled every which way.

What I've come to discover through my own healing journey, studying nutrition, and now building a healing practice... is that there isn't one, there is just the right one for You. 

We want to be told exactly what to eat, but the alchemy takes place when we tune in. 

Our body is always speaking, we just have to listen. 

This is the belief system that I practice with, and what I embody in my own life.
